Me Time is a multi-device home intervention that lifts the burden off of mother who is working from home. Currently, there does not exist any solution for working from home mothers that involves using real-time data monitoring to cater to daily routines. This IoT solution is enabled via an app that syncs to existing home devices as well.

The Problem

Fighting the internal battle of doing the best as an employee, a wife, a daughter and most importantly a mother can be overwhelmingly exhausting

Fighting the internal battle of doing the best as an employee, a wife, a daughter and most importantly a mother can be overwhelmingly exhausting

Women’s decisions about paid work and mothering are dichotomised as we often portray individual women as making choices between whether they will be “stay-at-home” and presumably “full-time” mothers, or “working mothers” and therefore ones who prioritise paid work over caregiving.  This intervention aims to mitigate the guilt of the mother by making her family understand and acknowledge her role as a working employee.

What the Data Says

  • More than 48% of working mothers work late to compensate for work

  • 43% of mothers unable to concentrate on working at home with their children

The problem

We expect women to work like they don't have children and raise children as if they don't have work
